Our Story

For us, racing isn’t just a hobby — it’s something we grew up with.
Between the two of us, our families have been owners, trainers, breeders, and lifelong racing people. We’ve known each other for more than 20 years and have spent over 15 of those studying form, learning markets, and trying to understand what actually creates long-term success in this game.

Over time, one thing became clear; finding winners is hard, and relying on them alone is even harder. But when we started analysing deeper, we realised something most punters overlook is small advantages in the place markets that can compound into meaningful long-term returns. That insight changed the way we approached betting.

We launched The Podium Collective to help punters rethink how they bet.

When we started using advanced systems, ratings & sectionals, something clicked. We could see how often several runners in a race are far closer in ability than the market suggests & that insight changed everything!

It made us realise that a horse doesn’t have to win for you to be right. Backing runners to finish in the top two, three or four, when your assessed price is shorter than what the market is offering. We feel this is often the smarter, lower-variance way to bet. You’re still backing your opinion, still targeting strong chances, but you’re doing it in a way that smooths out the swings and gives you a genuine chance of growing a bankroll over the long term.
